FAQ

What is the HL-WD III dental spot welder used for?

It is used for dental orthodontic welding work on stainless steel wire and stainless steel sheet, and for heat treatment of arch wire materials used in orthodontic forming work.

Which working modes does this machine support?

The HL-WD III supports spot welding, brazing, and heat treatment modes. The display shows dXX for spot welding, q_X for brazing, and h_X for heat treatment.

What stainless steel wire diameter range is listed in the manual?

The manual lists a weldment range of 0.2-1.8 mm stainless steel wire.

Can I choose the voltage?

This listing includes 110 V and 220 V variant options. Please select the required voltage before ordering.

Where can I read the full operation instructions?

Read the HL-WD III user manual online or download the PDF from the manual link above.

What power setting should I use for 1.0 mm wire?

The manual's test report records setting 19 at 210 V, 18 at 220 V, 17 at 230 V and 19 with a stabilized supply for 1.0 mm stainless steel. See the table above for 0.2-1.8 mm.

Why does the display show Err and the buzzer beep?

The mode on the display does not match the electrode setup. Spot welding (dXX) and braze welding (q_X) need the state block removed from between the electrode arms. Heat treatment (h_X) needs the state block placed between the arms.
