Overview
The VI twin-pen dental lab sandblaster is an air-driven micro sandblasting cabinet for dental restoration surface preparation. It is used for removing oxides from small surfaces, sandblasting brackets, adhesive-removal preparation, and glass-bead surface treatment on plastic denture-base surfaces.
This machine requires an external compressed-air source. The twin-pen layout lets the operator switch sand output between the left and right pens, while the pressure regulator and gauge help control the abrasive flow during use.
Key Features
- Twin-pen dental lab sandblaster for small-surface cleaning and preparation.
- 1.3 mm nozzle diameter for fine abrasive output.
- Selector valve for left/right pen sand output control.
- Pressure regulator and pressure gauge for controlled pneumatic operation.
- Foot-pedal control with a 1.5 m pedal tube.
- 15 W LED lamp tube listed in the machine specifications.
- Works with 100-120 mesh abrasive; supplied abrasive is 1 kg of 120 mesh aluminum oxide.
- Available with plastic abrasive cups or metal abrasive cups.

Cup Material Options
Choose the cup material according to the abrasive cup style needed for your dental lab workflow. The product is listed with two selectable variants: plastic abrasive cups and metal abrasive cups.
Setup and Use
- Insert and tighten each tube connector securely.
- Connect the power cable and foot-pedal switch tube to the matching ports.
- Open the two abrasive cup lids and fill with abrasive to about half of the cup height. Keep the sand outlet tube clear.
- Adjust the pressure regulator. The machine works when air pressure is above 0.4 MPa.
- Use the selector valve to switch sand output between the left and right pens.
- To empty abrasive from the machine, loosen the lower screw and lift the machine so the abrasive flows out naturally through the screw hole.
Operating Notes
- Clean dust during use to avoid poor electrical contact and unstable operation.
- For best results, keep abrasive volume below half of the abrasive cup capacity.
- Do not reuse used abrasive, as it can block the air path.
- If foot-pedal air leaks after connecting the air source, the foot-pedal inlet and outlet may be reversed.
- If sand output is weak, check whether pressure reaches at least 4 kg, adjust the pressure regulator, and check whether the cup has too much or too little abrasive.
- If the pressure gauge shows pressure but the pen does not output sand and there is no air leak, the pen may be clogged. Remove the front lock nut to clean it, then reinstall the lock nut.
