Use and Maintenance Notes

  • Use a stable air supply above 0.6 MPa before operation.
  • Check machine screws and confirm the spindle rotates normally before use.
  • Replace the grinding wheel for the nick you need. Lock the depth regulating valve at the bottom; no precise setting is needed. Control the nick depth by pressing strength.
  • Wear gloves, goggles, masks, and other protective equipment during operation.
  • Suspend the air pipe when connecting the air source.
  • After oiling, idle slowly for more than 10 seconds. If the blade is stuck and does not turn by itself, pull the spindle to help it rotate.
  • Do not install the sponge spring pad on the rule before nicking; the resistance makes the wheel easy to stop.
  • Inject a few drops of air tool oil into the air inlet before use and again after finishing work.
  • After work, disconnect the air source, clean the machine body, and store it properly. Without oil after idling, the motor rusts and sticks inside; regular oiling prevents this.

Grinding Wheel and Motor Service

The grinding wheel can be replaced by removing the nut and fixture with open-end wrenches, fitting the new grinding wheel, then reinstalling and tightening the fixture.

Change the motor

  1. Remove the protective cover and the grinding wheel fixture.
  2. Open the two plastic caps on top of the body.
  3. Loosen the two fixing screws inside.
  4. Pull the motor out from the rear of the body.
  5. Install the new motor, adjust its position and fix the two screws. Do not use excessive force, or the motor shell can deform.

Replace the air tube joint

  1. Twist open the threaded joint with pliers. Do not damage the inner thread of the motor joint.
  2. Put a small amount of glue or wrap raw tape around the thread of the new joint.
  3. Twist the new joint in and tighten it.
