US-400S slot-type ultrasonic web guide sensor
The US-400S is a slot-type ultrasonic sensor for EPC web guiding systems. It uses ultrasonic through-beam detection to identify the edge position of roll-fed materials and send correction signals to the web guide controller.

Material fit
- Suitable for airtight roll materials such as transparent film and paper.
- Not suitable for breathable materials such as canvas or non-woven fabric.
- Useful when photoelectric sensors are affected by transparent material behavior.
- No routine manual calibration adjustment is required during normal use after setup.
Operating notes
- The sensor supports one analog output and two switching outputs.
- Three status options are available for different accuracy requirements: 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm, and 2.0 mm.
- Use the SET key to select the required status, then save the setting after calibration.
FAQ
What is the US-400S used for?
It detects the material edge position in an EPC web guiding system so the controller can correct web alignment.
Why use an ultrasonic edge sensor instead of a photoelectric sensor?
For transparent airtight materials, ultrasonic edge detection is less affected by material transparency than a photoelectric sensor.
Can it be used with non-woven fabric?
No. breathable materials such as canvas and non-woven fabric are not applicable.
What should I confirm before ordering?
Confirm that your controller accepts DC12V power, 0-5V analog output, and the listed NPN switching outputs, and check the sensor mounting position against your current web guide system.
