The FMFPAX 1000W portable tire regroover is a handheld, electric-heated tire regrooving machine that cuts new grooves into worn rubber tread to restore grip. It is used to regroove truck and tractor tires, especially solid truck tires, and to cut grooves in other rubber tires and rubber sheets. The kit includes the blue and yellow control box, the heated handpiece on a 2 m cable and 20 regrooving blades (2 of each of 10 shapes).

Not intended for: tires that are not marked as regroovable by their manufacturer, or cutting metal, cords or non-rubber materials. Check the tire maker's regrooving guidance and local regulations before regrooving any road tire.

Safety and Care
The blade gets very hot during use. Wear heat-resistant gloves and eye protection, and let the blade cool fully before changing blades or storing the tool. Step-by-step operating instructions are not yet available in English; contact us with any setup questions.

How does a tire groover work?
An electric current heats the blade, and the hot blade cuts a clean groove through the rubber tread. You set the heat with the adjustment knob and read the output voltage on the display.
