The EBC-B20H is a battery capacity tester for lithium, LiFePO4 and lead acid battery packs. It discharges a pack at a constant 0.50-20.00A, records the capacity and can switch an external charger on and off, so you can run discharge and charge steps on energy storage, electric vehicle and other new-energy packs and see the result as a curve on your PC.
Key Features
- Constant-current discharge from 0.50A to 20.00A in 0.01A steps. Packs of 12V-24V discharge at up to 10A; packs of 24V-72V discharge at up to 20A.
- Voltage measurement 0.10-89.00V and current measurement 0.10-20.00A, accuracy 0.5% ±0.01V and 0.5% ±0.01A.
- Choose when a discharge step ends: after a set time, when the pack falls below a voltage limit (9.00-88.00V, 0.01V steps), or by hand.
- External charger control: the tester watches voltage and current and switches your charger on and off. The charge step ends when the current drops below your limit, or by hand.
- Up to 5 programmed steps per test (discharge, charge, end), so one pack can be cycled without resetting the tester.
- Capacity resolution 0.001Ah below 10Ah, 0.01Ah from 10Ah to 100Ah and 0.1Ah above 100Ah.
- Connects to a PC through the supplied four-core communication cable for live data and discharge curves.
- LCD display, a SET knob (turn and press to adjust settings), a start/stop button and a built-in cooling fan. Powered by AC 100-240V.
Lithium, LiFePO4 and Lead Acid Battery Pack Testing
Use it to measure the real capacity of LiFePO4 packs, ternary lithium packs, lead acid packs, energy storage batteries, electric vehicle batteries and new-energy battery packs. Connect the pack to the BATTERY terminals with the supplied red and black test clips, set the discharge current and the cut-off voltage, then press start.
Battery Discharge Tester with External Charger Control
In a charge step the tester only senses voltage and current and switches the connected charger on and off. It does not set or regulate the charger’s own voltage or current, so use a charger that suits your pack. Connect the pack to the BATTERY terminals and the charger to the CHARGER input (red +, black −), then program the steps.

What is a battery capacity test and what does this tester do?
A capacity test discharges a fully charged pack at a steady current until a set voltage or time and records how much charge it delivered. The EBC-B20H does this at 0.50-20.00A and logs capacity, voltage and current for each step.
How do I use it to test a lithium or lead acid pack?
Clip the red and black test leads to the pack’s positive and negative terminals and plug them into the BATTERY terminals. Set the discharge current and the cut-off voltage with the SET knob, then press start. The test stops at the voltage limit or the time you set.
Which battery types can I test?
LiFePO4 packs, ternary lithium packs, lead acid packs, energy storage batteries, electric vehicle batteries and other new-energy battery packs within the 12-72V or 36-108V range of the version you choose.
Does it charge the battery?
No. It is not a charger. In a charge step it only switches your external charger on and off by sensing voltage and current; it does not control the charger’s voltage or current.
What is the maximum discharge current for a 12V pack?
Packs of 12V-24V discharge at up to 10A. Packs of 24V-72V can reach the full 20A.
What happens to the reading if the power is cut?
The capacity reading is not kept after a power cut, so keep the tester powered until the test finishes.
Can I record a discharge curve on a PC?
Yes. Connect the supplied four-core communication cable to a PC to view the data and draw the discharge curve.
How many test steps can I program?
Up to 5 steps, each set as discharge, charge or end.
What is included in the box?
