The YBD868 is a bench-top digital IC tester for DIP-type integrated circuits up to 40 pins. It is used for PASS/FAIL testing, device model number identification, dynamic burn-in testing, and substitute-device lookup for supported digital IC families.

This unit has a rear voltage selector for 110V/220V switchable AC input. Set the rear selector to match the local power supply before connecting the power cord.

Operation Notes

• Set the rear voltage selector to the correct 110V or 220V input before powering on the tester.
• Power on the tester with no IC or metal short-circuit wire inserted in the ZIF socket.
• Enter only the numeric part of the IC model number and omit manufacturer prefixes or suffixes where applicable.
• Align the IC notch to the left side of the ZIF socket before locking the socket and running a test.
• Use substitution results with caution and confirm the replacement IC's full electrical requirements before installing it in a circuit.
• For long continuous use, turn the tester off for 5 minutes after one hour of continuous operation.
