Safety instructions

  • Disconnect the power plug before disassembling or servicing the equipment.
  • Incorrect use can cause fire and serious burns.
  • Use a 220 V supply. The supply voltage must remain within ±10% of the rated voltage.
  • For a power cable longer than 20 m, use a conductor cross-section of 4 mm².
  • Install residual-current (leakage) and overload protection at the power source.
  • Do not touch the welding nozzle or metal housing during or immediately after operation.
  • Never direct hot air toward people or animals.
  • Keep the equipment dry and prevent exposure to moisture. Stay attentive while operating.

Main components

The manual identifies the hot-air switch, temperature adjustment knob, hot-air gun, Y-shaped extrusion body, welding shoe, air outlet, feed body, material inlet, clamp, power plug, stand, drive motor, speed adjustment knob, and handle.

Operating instructions

  1. Connect the main power plug, install the handle, and place the welder securely on its stand.
  2. Switch on the hot-air gun. Set the temperature knob to position 5 and preheat for 8–10 minutes. Do not perform other operations during preheating.
  3. After approximately 10 minutes, operate the drive-motor switch with your right hand and feed welding rod through the right-side material inlet. Use only one material inlet at a time.
  4. Select the correct welding shoe for the joint: a flat shoe or a right-angle shoe.
  5. Move the welder so the hot air softens the material surface until its gloss disappears, then apply the extrudate to the prepared joint.
  6. Do not assume that a higher temperature improves the weld. Excessive heat may scorch, break through, or deform the plastic. Select the correct temperature for the material.
  7. A slight noise on a new machine may result from resonance with the stand or tight internal parts and does not necessarily affect normal operation. Stop and inspect if the noise becomes severe or operation is abnormal.

Airflow orientation: keep the welding-shoe outlet in front so hot air preheats and softens the joint surface before extrusion.

Shutdown and maintenance

  • Before shutdown, completely discharge the remaining welding material from the extrusion body. Hardened residue may prevent proper startup next time.
  • Turn the hot-air temperature knob to position 0. Allow cool air to run for several minutes, then switch off the hot-air gun.
  • The manual states that carbon brushes in both the hot-air gun and drive motor have an approximate service life of 1,600 hours. Replace them before they are fully worn.
  • Unplug the equipment and allow all hot components to cool before cleaning, clearing a blockage, or replacing parts.

Service note: replacement of motors, heating elements, circuit boards, wiring, carbon brushes, screws, or blades should be performed only by a qualified technician after disconnecting the power.

Troubleshooting

For motor, heating-element, circuit-board, wiring, feed-screw, blade, or carbon-brush faults, disconnect the power and use a qualified technician.
