Material Limits

This GSM meter is not recommended for fabrics with obvious thickness above 3 mm, such as lamb fleece, long plush fabric, coral fleece, thick carpet, imitation fur and similar materials. It is also not recommended for fabrics with large hollow areas, such as mesh and lace, or for transparent materials.

For reliable results, place the sample flat on the measurement surface. Curled, shrinking or transparent samples can affect the area calculation.
