Suitable Uses
- Textile fabric water resistance checks
- Waterproof garment and raincoat material testing
- Tent fabric hydrostatic pressure checks
- Plastic bag waterproof testing when the sample fits the tester
How the Test Works
- Place the sample on the lower test fixture and tighten the handwheel to seal it.
- Use the hand pump to increase pressure until the first water droplet appears or the maximum pressure is reached.
- Record the pressure at first visible penetration as the sample's hydrostatic pressure resistance.
- After testing, release the vent knob, drain water completely and lubricate the screw rods regularly.
Before Ordering
- Confirm that the 10,000 mmH2O range and 200 mmH2O resolution fit your test requirement.
- Confirm your sample material and size if you plan to test an unusual fabric, bag film or coated material.
- Send the product name, quantity and destination country to FMF Supply for a faster quotation.
FAQ
Is this also a hydrostatic head tester?
Yes. It measures water resistance as hydrostatic pressure in mmH2O, which is commonly used as a hydrostatic head value for fabric and waterproof material checks.
Does it need electricity or compressed air?
No. It is a manual tester and does not need power or an external air source.
What materials can I test?
The product is listed for textile fabric, garments, tents, raincoats and plastic bags. Confirm your sample size and material with FMF Supply if your material is unusual or requires a specific fixture.
What result should I record?
Record the pressure reading at the first visible sign of water penetration through the sample.
