This portable pneumatic nick grinder is used for making nick openings on die cutting rules during die-board preparation. It is suitable for flat die cutting work where controlled nick positions are needed on cutting rules for solid board and corrugated board applications.

The tool uses compressed air, a grinding wheel blade, a depth regulating valve, and a compact aluminum alloy body. Main parts include a stainless steel shield, transparent baffle, exhaust port, clear silencer tube, air inlet joint, and breather pipe.

Use and Maintenance Notes

  • Use a stable air supply above 0.6 MPa before operation.
  • Check machine screws and confirm the spindle rotates normally before use.
  • Replace the grinding wheel according to the required nick width and adjust the depth regulating valve as needed.
  • Wear gloves, goggles, masks, and other protective equipment during operation.
  • Inject a few drops of air tool oil into the air inlet before use and again after finishing work.
  • After work, disconnect the air source, clean the machine body, and store it properly. Regular oiling helps prevent internal rust and motor sticking.

Grinding Wheel and Motor Service

The grinding wheel can be replaced by removing the nut and fixture with open-end wrenches, fitting the new grinding wheel, then reinstalling and tightening the fixture. The motor and air tube joint are also serviceable when maintenance is needed.
