### I. Purpose:

The Washability Tester for Architectural Coatings is a newly developed microcomputer-based product by our company. It is designed to evaluate the washability performance of coatings and can assess the performance of various surfaces, such as paint, electroplating, flooring, topcoats, wood density, and other surface forms that have undergone film composite treatment. The instrument washes the coatings applied to standard test panels, with the LCD screen clearly displaying the number of wash cycles. The paint's wash resistance performance can be determined based on the number of wash cycles. This instrument is essential for coating manufacturers and research departments and complies with ASTM, DIN, ISO, GB9266-88 standards.

### III. Instrument Overview:

This product is designed based on advanced technologies from domestic and international models.

1. The machine adopts an advanced parallel sliding frame, ensuring the brush maintains parallel motion with constant weight, overcoming issues present in domestic models.

2. It employs a new linear reciprocating mechanism, improving the non-linear reciprocating motion found in domestic models for uniform brushing in a 300mm stroke.

3. Utilizes an automatic soap circulation system with a water pump, reducing manual soap addition during operation for automated control.

4. The instrument features a 64x128 dot matrix LCD screen for clear display, convenient operation, dynamic sensor information display, and data storage with power-off memory.

### IV. Operating Instructions:

1. Soak the brush in water at 20°C for 30 minutes with a depth of 12mm, then press the brush dry and immerse it in a 0.5% soap solution for 10 minutes.

2. Place the test panel in the working tray, fix it with two locking bolts on the panel's frame, tighten the nut to prevent movement during operation.

3. Insert the brush into the parallel sliding frame.

4. Fill the water tank with 0.5% soap solution, connect the outlet pipe to the pump outlet, turn on the main power switch, and the pump power switch (connected to the socket at the back of the machine). The outlet pipe supplies soap solution to the test panel. Adjust the pump flow control lever to control the liquid supply.

5. Press the "Set" key (see keyboard operation instructions), set the desired number of wash cycles. Once ready, press the start button, and the brush starts running, with the counter performing additive counting.

6. Observe any wear or exposure at the center of the test panel. To pause midway, press the "Pause" key to stop brushing.

7. If the test piece is not exposed, and the actual count reaches the set value, pressing the "Run" button again restarts the counter, accumulating test results.

8. For product inspection, set the wash cycle value for qualification, press the "Run" button, and the machine stops automatically when the actual value equals the set value. Check if the test panel is exposed to determine product qualification.
