What This Tester Does

The YBD868 is a bench-top digital IC tester for DIP-type integrated circuits up to 40 pins. It is used to check PASS/FAIL results, identify supported device model numbers by pin count, run dynamic burn-in or continuous testing, and look up substitute devices with matching logic function and pin arrangement.

Supported Device Range

The built-in library covers more than 2,000 devices, including TTL54, TTL55, TTL74, TTL75, CMOS14, CMOS40, CMOS45, optocoupler, LED display, universal RAM, universal SCM, and microprocessor peripheral series.

When to Choose the YBD868

  • For repair benches, electronics labs, and maintenance teams that need a dedicated digital IC tester.
  • For checking many common TTL, CMOS, optocoupler, LED display, RAM, SCM, and microprocessor peripheral IC families.
  • For buyers who need model-number identification and substitution lookup in addition to a simple PASS/FAIL check.

Operation Notes

  • Power on the tester with no IC or metal short-circuit wire inserted in the ZIF socket.
  • For model entry, use the numeric part of the IC number and omit manufacturer prefixes or suffixes where applicable.
  • Align the IC notch to the left side of the ZIF socket before locking the socket and running a test.
  • For substitution lookup, confirm the full electrical requirements of the replacement device before using it in a circuit.
  • For any non-220V supply requirement, confirm the voltage configuration before ordering.

FAQ

What ICs can the YBD868 test?

The tester is built for DIP-type ICs up to 40 pins and includes a library of more than 2,000 devices across TTL, CMOS, optocoupler, LED display, RAM, SCM, and microprocessor peripheral series.

Does it only show PASS or FAIL?

No. In addition to PASS/FAIL testing, the YBD868 supports device model identification, dynamic burn-in, substitution query, and fault-detect related operation.

How should I enter an IC model number?

Enter the numeric part of the model number. For example, the manual uses 7400 for N74LS00N, N74S00N, and 74ALS00N examples.

Can it identify EPROM or EEPROM models?

Number Identifying is not used for EPROM or EEPROM on this tester. Confirm your target IC model and required test function before ordering.

Where can I find the operating steps?

The English user manual linked above covers self-check, basic operation, special operation, cautions, fault detection, and the measurable device list.
